More than 100 items of drilling, mining, quarry machinery and heavy equipment are going under the hammer in an online auction this Thursday.
Lloyds Auctions says the equipment is owned by a Coffs Harbour company holding a downsizing clearance sale this week.
It includes dozers, loaders, tractors, crane borer trucks, service trucks and tippers.
Lloyds Auctions chief operating officer Lee Hames said the auction had drawn interest from multiple industries including civil, transport, drilling and agriculture.
“Since publishing the auction online it has been very active as bids started at just $1, people are clearly keen on getting some bargains on specialised equipment,”Mr Hames said.
The auction firm says that the fast-tracking of many transport and construction projects across the country has put machinery and equipment in high demand, with auctions being the go-to for picking work-ready equipment fast.
“One of the key advantages as to why people have turned to auctions for their equipment is the fact that the equipment is ready now. With delays on new equipment landing in the country quality second-hand machinery has provided a great and also cost-effective alternative,” Mr Hames.
“This demand has been driven by recent major projects being brought forward and further projects given the green light so the pipeline and confidence of future work is extremely strong.”
Details are available at www.lloydsauctions.com.au where the online auction ends this Thursday, September 17 from 10am.
